Award winning

Over the years Tasmanian Walking Company has been the proud recipient of many awards. This demonstrates that we are getting things right using innovative practices and continually refining what we do. 

Most recently we were inducted into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in the Ecotourism category.

We won Gold at the 2016 and 2017 QATA National Tourism Awards in the Ecotourism category.

In 2016 we  achieved at theTasmanian Tourism Awards Gold in the Ecotourism category and Silver for Adventure Tourism.

We received Gold for Ecotourism at the Australian Tourism Awards and Silver in the Sustainability category alongside three gold at the Tasmanian Awards for Ecotourism, Adventure Tourism and Sustainable Tourism.

In 2013 the Bay of Fires Lodge Walk received a Highly Commended in the Green Lifestyle Awards along with three Awards at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards.

We have also received Gourmet Traveller - Best Adventure Travel two years in a row.

Our Bay of Fires Lodge Walk Eco Spa has won the World Luxury Spa Award - Best Eco Spa and LIÝTA - Best Eco Spa.

We are committed to continual improvement and believe the awards we have won recognise this.

If you book with Tasmanian Walking Company you will be walking with our guides and using our accommodation. We do not subcontract any components of our walking experiences. We give back to the community

Each year we contribute to our Tasmanian community and the Australian community at large. We employ over 100 local staff, support local food and wine producers and support a number of charitable organisations. We helped establish the Aboriginal guide training program which saw students graduate with a Certificate III in Guiding.     Continue reading
